Sandra Jones, Principal Consultant
Sandra Jones founded the consulting firm of Sandra Jones and Company (SJandCO)
in 1990 with the goal of assisting suppliers in the low-voltage markets
bring products to market more profitably and successfully. The firm's
clients consist of the industry's most prominent manufacturers, dealer
organizations, distributors, investors and utilities. To achieve the Firms
goals, SJandCO collaborates with other industry talent and specialists,
which provides clients one organization for integrated, reliable business
information and services. Under Sandra's leadership the organization has
become one of the industries most sought after and influential advisors
in the industry.
Ms. Jones began her career in the security industry in 1974 by co-founding
Security Products Company, one of the oldest security distribution companies
in the United States. In addition to management, her foresight in selecting,
introducing and marketing new technologies gives Jones' clients access
to her unparalleled experience of bringing security, access-control, fire
and home automation products to market. In addition to being COO of her
own firm, Jones was instrumental in creating some of the industry's first
formal trade associations, training programs and customer service programs.
In 1991 she was honored by the Security Industry Association (SIA) with
the coveted Lippert Memorial Award for lifetime service and achievement.
Jones remains active in the industry as an advisor, author, conference
developer and publisher. She serves on the Conference Advisory Committee
of the International Security Conference (ISC), Chairs the ISC New Product
Showcase, a program SJandCO refined for SIA and is instrumental in the
marketing and development of Access Control & Security Systems Integration®
magazine's research reports. Jones is a frequent author but is best know
for her Benchmark Reports including those in the commercial fire, access
control and Fortune 500 markets.
Jones is a member of ASIS, NFPA and SIA. She has been on the Security
Industry Association Board of Directors for 18 years and was a two-term
president of the organization. In October of this year the Open Security
Exchange (OSE), a program of IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization
(ISTO), named Jones to their Advisory Board. As one of only two appointments,
Jones will play a leading role in helping define the future of the organization
and insuring its neutrality.
Finally, as an industry insider, Jones maintains her contacts with the
industries most influential leaders, investors and is a sponsor and producer
of the industry's most influential financial conference Securing New
Ground.
